The real price of cheap alcohol

We’re all paying a massive hidden price for cheap alcohol. It fuels violence, threatens our kids, keeps people from work and is responsible for injury, illness and death. It’s a heavy price we can’t afford to keep paying. 

For an additional 28p per week, moderate drinkers can help save thousands of lives, cut tens of thousands of crimes and reduce how much kids drink. That’s what we’ll get if we support a minimum 50p per unit.

Surely that’s a price North Easterners are prepared to pay?
