For individuals
As individuals we need to be aware of our limits and be responsible for sticking to them.
Drinking too much and too often can damage our short and long term health. After all, it’s linked to more than 60 medical conditions.
It can put us at risk from crime and not just as a victim. Alcohol misuse can encourage law breaking in the most law abiding. It can also increase the chances that we’ll be involved in an accident.
Self interest aside, an individual’s drinking can often have an impact on those around them – on their children, partners, neighbours, random strangers and the wider community.
This section will discuss the risks that we as individuals take at the hands of alcohol misuse.
